Why I started this blog
General 1 min read
The short version: I want a home for the things I figure out that is mine, not a platform that can change the rules on me next quarter.
For the last few years most of what I learn has ended up scattered. A note here, a message thread there, a half-finished document I never find again. Writing it down properly, in one place, forces me to actually understand it. If a post helps someone else along the way, even better.
This blog is a mix by design. Some weeks it will be investing and how I think about money. Other weeks it will be the small software projects I build for my family, or something I read that stuck with me. I would rather write honestly across a few things I care about than pretend to be a single-topic expert.
A couple of ground rules I am setting for myself:
- Write the useful part first. No long wind-up.
- Show the working, including the times I got it wrong.
- Keep it short enough that I will actually publish it.
That is the whole plan. Thanks for reading.
